Chapter 6

I stared at him... and he stared at me. After he spoke to me, there were goose bumps on my arms, and the wounded arm started to throb again... great. Jeesh... his voice was husky, and a little edge of iciness in his tone. He didn't seem irritated at all, but not the happiest person. I was normally really good with reading people's expressions and emotions, but he certainly stumped me, people rarely did. My heart was beating so loud in my ears I thought for sure he could hear it. The deadly silence was bugging the crap out of me... He was, actually really good looking... He reminded me of..... Wesley.... The way his stance was, but he looked totally different. He was definitely someone I've never met before.

He had brown snakeskin cowboy boots on, a cowboy hat in his hand, a black muscle shirt on, with a black leather vest, and jeans. His skin was a peach, but a tone darker, like he spent the day in the sun. He had what looked to be short but tick black hair, but it was spiked up a little, not much... Actually, it was kind of hot.. "Hey!!! Stop!!! Remember? You like Wesley! Snap out of it!" I hook my head lightly and he just looked at me, never lost my eye contact. And his eyes.... oh good Lord! They were like, an ice blue, not quite white, not quite gray, but just that hint of blue that gives you that 'Wow!' feeling. He was about 2 or so inches taller than me, not much.

"I... uhh... yes... I'm... Addison..." Was all I could say... what CAN I say? Then I decided to first go all out on attitude to find out what he wants and/or his name and stuff, then I'll play the innocent card. Guys fall right through girl's fingers if they act all innocent and stuff; works like a charm.

"And... What is your name, might I add?" I said, crossing my arms together slowly, making sure not to hurt my arm... again. I was still sitting on the bed, and the fire was lit, actually, so it was a little warm in the room.

"My name is Timothy Skylar, but people around here call my Tim or Timmy."
He said casually. As he talked, some tension seemed to be lifted off his shoulders, as he leaned lazily against the wall with his hands knuckle deep in his worn out blue jeans. He put the hat on the dresser and looked at me again, expecting me to say something.

"Well, Timothy, it's nice to meet you." I said, putting my legs into a cross-legged position and turning to him at the same time. No way was I getting off the bed. I held out my hand, with about 3 or so dried up blood splotches. He walked over, his boots making that familiar sound when someone had carried me up a flight of stairs. He was about a foot from me, and shook my hand, slowly. His touch sent electric sparks all up my hand and arm, and I jumped a little, hoping he wouldn't notice. His touch was warm, and his hand was soft, but a little rough from work in the fields; I was guessing.

We stared at each other for a minute, our hands still in the shaking position, but not shaking up and down. I could have sworn his hand was going to turn in mind and intertwine out fingers because he every so slowly started to move his hand, not ever legging go of my hand, but I ended up looking away from his eyes, with some tremendous effort, and let go of his hand. He seemed to pout a little, but I wasn't so sure.

"So... umm..." He looked away, somewhat embarrassed and coughed to his right.
"So... I'm guess ing Kelly showed you to the living room, and you saw the newspaper?" He said, looking down and lightly tapping his foot on the wooden floor.

"Uhh... yea. I was... shocked, at the article. I don't remember any of i-" I stopped. A flashback of me reading the end of the article on how that one dude saw a 14 to late 13 year old man carry me deeper... into... the woods... Everything became clear now.He looked confused by how I suddenly stopped talking, yet I could tell he was trying to be patient for me to continue. My expression showed him what I was about to say, and he knew it too. He straightened out and walked over to me, and sat next to me, and looked away from me.

"You.... you were the one that carried me away from the attack site.... Oh my gosh! You were the one who saved me!" I said, turning to him. When I turned, he turned to me too, and I couldn't read his expression. Everything became so clear right then and there, yet so complicated... But then again, life was never as simple as a yes or no, now was it?
So...? How was it...?
*****-Woo!!! Bravo!!-
****-Wow, not bad at all-
***-Ehhh, itz okay...-
**-Ummm....-
