  • Take some honey and apply it on your lips. Keep the honey on the lips for a few seconds.
  • After the honey has dried, apply Vaseline over the honey coated lips. Now leave the lips untouched for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Take a cotton swab or a Q-tip dip and dip it in hot water and remove the honey-Vaseline combination from your lips. Do it gently and in two strokes.
  • Repeat the above procedure for about 2 - 5 days. This will heal your lips from cracks and dryness.
Using Coconut Oil and Beeswax
Coconut oil is a very good skin demulcent that helps in combating dehydration. Its combination with beeswax is one of the excellent home remedies for chapped lips. Beeswax lip balm is also a commonly used natural lip balm as beeswax has the property of sealing the hydration.
  • Take 2 teaspoons of beeswax and melt it in microwave.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil to the molten beeswax. Let the mixture cool.
  • Now you may add some fruity essences to this mixture and store it in empty lip balm tube.
  • Apply this twice everyday to have smooth and healthy lips all the time.
One can also use shea butter instead of coconut oil and make a lip balm out of these ingredients. Shea butter is also a rich emollient that easily penetrates lips and moisturizes it well.

Using Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is one of the succulent plants that is widely used for medicinal, cosmetic and therapeutic purposes. Using aloe vera gel with beeswax and fruit oils is a good remedy for chapped lips.
  • Take a large aloe vera leaf and cut off the spiked edges. Peel off the skin and extract the inner pulpy gel and put in a blender.
  • Add Vitamin C (500 mg) and Vitamin E (400 IU) to the aloe vera content and blend it well. Your aloe vera concentrate is ready.
  • Now take some pellets of beeswax and safflower oil. Mix them and boil the contents in a double boiler. While boiling, add some grape seed oil and sweet almond oil. Please remember to boil the contents on slow heat.
  • Turn off the heat and stir the contents consistently. After some time, add the thick aloe vera concentrated gel that was earlier prepared. Stir the contents well until the ingredients are uniformly mixed.
  • Store the content in an empty lip balm tube or small storage container.
