Changing The Picture To Attract More Business!

"Life will turn out the way you see it turning out", is a quote by a billionaire that I’ve been studying and had a fortune of meeting recently. It’s true for business as well. Obviously if your life can turn out the way you see it than why can't your business? Like any rational person, I deeply feel that there's a profound underlying meaning to it. Could it not have something to do with your self-image as a business man?

It’s quiet simple, if you've been brought up in a family where parents didn't earn over fifty thousand dollars a year, your self-image automatically gets programmed for it and will not change until you decide to change it. Such an individual may want to earn lot more but since they carry a particular mental picture, they may not be able to attract what they want. Their conditioning will only allow them to earn those fifty thousand dollars.

Let me give you an example. By the way it happens to me as well. When everything is on the right track and money is flowing in easily from the sales, something happens and it suddenly stops! It's nothing but your programmed mind that subconsciously hinders you from seizing the prospects that are right there before you.

So your mind is programmed with a particular number and it will keep you attracted to that number. You try to cross this number and your mind won't let you! There are opportunities but you are unable to make any use of them. This is known as cognitive dissonance in scientific language and is basically a disharmony between the picture in your subconscious mind and the experienced reality. Resolving conflict is one of the many tasks of your subconscious mind. Thus when you try to change the picture inside the mind, creativity is activated by your mind and thus takes care of the conflict.

Once your mental image is successfully altered from earning fifty thousand dollars to half a million a year, you will automatically seize the opportunities that you see around to realize your new mental picture. Your creativity, strength and motivation will be automatically improved to help you.

Believe it or not, changing the picture won't get you to work harder. Your efforts to merely change the picture will be enough; the results will just come on their own. We have a self image for all areas of our life, not just as business people. Be it the image of a sports person, a leader, a follower or that of a man or a woman, the same process applies to all these pictures in our lives.

As it relates to the picture that we carry of our self as a business person, and the money we make, it can be changed. Thinking of what you want is the first step towards changing this picture. It is equally important to try and visualize how it would feel to have more money in your pockets.

Visualization is very important so that your mind begins to accept the change. If you don't have a stable income or sales, you need to get a new mental picture of the money you make and program it into your subconscious mind. The fact that the mental picture controls your income is not a handicap but is actually an advantage as you yourself have the power to attract the kind of money that you want. All you need to do is change this picture.

Some people tell me that they aren't creative enough in growing their business and lack the motivation to do so. I only say one thing to them, "Change the picture and everything else will change on its own".
