Changing Curse You to Trick or Treat 4

I didn't have time to proofread it so bare with me alright...
"Thanks for the ride and for taking me to the hospital," I thanked him getting out of his car.

"Wow...and you're thanking me," said Lucas, happily.

"Well...I got to, right. What else I could say or do?" I said to him. "Do you just want me to walk out of your car without saying anything to you?"

"Ummm...no. I like how you thank me," said Lucas smiling.

"Okay...you better treasure it good because I'm just going to say it once to you," I said to him giving him a quick wink. "Bye."

I took off home feeling him gazing his eyes, looking at me the moment I enter the house. I also peek through the window the moment I got into the house seeing his car driving out of our property.

"Is that you, Mina?" asked my mother.

I sigh and said, "Yeah mother. It's me."

I drop my stuff onto the couch entering the kitchen.

"What are you cooking, mom?" I asked her pulling out some chips in the cupboard.

"I'm cooking your favorite soup," answer my mother.

"Mmmm...chicken soup," I said running up next to her, trying to smell the soup.

"Get away Mina or else your chips will drop into the pot," said my mother trying to push me away.

"Umm...wonder how that will taste like?" I said chuckling.

"Mina..." she said.

I know what she was going to say to me already so I quickly said, "Alright...I'm taking off to do my homework right now," I said to her taking off. "If you need me...I'll be in the study room with the brat."

"Mina...watch your language."

"Alright...I'm just kidding," I said with a fake smile.

I went and grab my bag and books from the couch and headed into the study room. I see my little brother, Max, were sitting on the table with his toys, playing. I drop my stuff including the chips on the table and he looks up at me.

"What are you looking at, booger face?" said Max.

"You better stop calling me name, you little brat. Go do your homework," I said to him.

He grabs his toys and headed out of the study room. I grumpily went and shut the door. I'm just lucky that today was Friday and my mother expected us to finish our homework today so we'll have some free time on the weekend to read books. Which I love reading books.

"Wake up sleepy head," said Lilly trying to wake me up. "Did you get enough sleep last night? You seem so tired."

"Oh...I do," I answer her rubbing my eyes the moment I got up. Well, just to tell you, yesterday I was babysitting my little brother Max and my sister's, Mary, three little brats. Two girls name, Jade and Kelly and one boy name, James. Mary and my brother in law took both of my parents somewhere while I got stuck with the four little brats! They couldn't go to sleep until 11, which their bedtime is at 8. My parents them saw me sleeping on the floor when they came back at like one thirty. My father has to carry me up to my bed. So yep...that explains why I couldn't sleep last night or didn't get enough sleep.

I pack my books into my bag and we headed out of class the moment I was finish.

"Did you notice Lucas today?" Lilly asked me.

"Oh...I haven't seen him all day including this morning," I answer her back which it is true.

"Mini, he's like mostly in our class and you didn't notice him," said Lilly.

"No I don't," I answer her back. "Why? What's wrong with him that you got to be so worry about?"

"Well...Katie broke up with him."

I then burst out laughing. "No wonder all the girls in this school were coming up to me, saying thanks to me."

"No duh, Mini," said Lilly as she slap my head.

"Hey!" I yelled at her as I try to get her back. She then started to run to class as I chase after her. Right when she got into our next class, I stop chasing her as I walk happily to my seat. Then I notice Lucas eye staring at me when I enter class. Lilly kept on poking my back to make me turn around and talk with her but I didn't want too. I didn't want to look at Lucas because if I did, I felt guilty that I was the one that made Katie broke up with him. But why did she break up with him and why did it involve me in it too? Then the second bell ring as everybody started to settle down in class.

Finally it was lunch. But I didn't felt like eating either. Joan and Lilly had to force me to eat so I just eat a little bit of what they gave me. When lunch was over we started to head to PE.

"Wait you guys," I said stopping. "I forgot my short in my locker."

"Alright, we're going to class first," said Lilly the moment I started to run off to my locker.

"You better hurry, Mina!" Joan yelled after me.

I wave at them without looking back, running to my locker. When I got my short in the locker, I started to run back to the girl's locker. The moment I run pass the parking lot, I notice someone was sitting on the curb, head down. I slowly push the gate open and I slowly went and stand behind him.

"Umm...are you alright?" I asked him.

Then he lifts his head and I notice that it was Lucas. I was about to go back into campus when he called my name and I stop. I slowly turn around noticing that he was staring right at me.

"Yes...Lucas," I answer him.

"Do you want to go for a ride?" he asked me getting up.

"Umm...no," I answer him back. "I have class to go and also you too."

"Why do you have to be such a 'straight A' person huh?" he asked me started to walk toward me.

"Excuse me," I said rudely to him. "You're one too."

"Of course I know that," he said. "But just for today."

"No," I said straight out to him starting to walk back into the campus. Before I could even open the gate to go back in, he grabbed onto my hand and pulled me to his car. "Lucas, I said no. Don't you understand the word 'no'?"

"No," he said back to me. He pressed the alarm to his car as it unlocked the door. "Get in the car."

"No Lucas," I said back to him. "I'm not going to get into your car."
He raises one of his eyebrows at me and I cross both of my hand together.

"Are you going to get in nicely or I'll have to force you in by myself?"

"I'm not getting into your car. And although you force me, I'm still not getting into your car."

"Never ever?"

I shake my head at him. Lucas then takes a step up to me and I started to back away from him.

"What are you going to do to me?" I asked him as I was trap between his car and him.

"Do you really want to know?"

I shake my head slowly.

"Then get into the car."

I was about to say something when he open the door and pushed me inside. I grumpily sat down trying to get comfortable.

"Where are you going to take me?" I asked him the moment we got out of the parking lot.

"Lake View," he answers me.

"What? That's like two hour away!" I yelled at him.

"I know," he said back to me. "Remember, your parent and my parent always takes us over there."

"So..." I said back to him rudely. "I don't care and I don't remember anything."

"You really don't?"

I turn to look at him seeing that he was smiling back at me. He really was getting in my nerves right now. So I decided to hurt his feeling by accidentally, saying, "I heard that Katie broke up with you?"

I slowly turn to look at him if his face expression change but he wasn't showing any expression at all. Instead he said, "Oh...you did. Wow...news travel fast in that high school."

"Oh yeah...and I also heard that I was the one that made her broke up with you," I said again trying to see if his face expression change. But no...there was no face expression that he was hurt or sad either.

"Yeah...that is true," he answer me.

"Why?" I asked him and this time I gave up on trying making him felt hurt because he doesn't show it. I guess he doesn't really care about her or that he just didn't want to show me that he was weak about his girl dumping him.

"Do you really wanted to know?" he asked me turning left.

I nodded. "Of course I do because I don't get why she broke up with you. Last Friday you two were so happy together and then suddenly...you two just broke up like that."

I then started to think last Friday when I suddenly remember about Lucas carrying me on his back to the nurse office. Maybe she saw us together and maybe that's the reason why she broke up with him. Before Lucas was about to say it, I gasp and said, "Did she saw us together last Friday, when you were carrying me to the nurse office, is that the reason why she broke up with up?"

Lucas turn to look at me chuckling, turning back to look at the road.

"Stop laughing and tell me if it's true?" I asked him angrily.

"Well," he said as he stops chuckling, "if you think that's the reason...then yeah."

"Oh...then I'm sorry that she broke up with you."

"No need to say sorry. I'm actually alright."

"You're...alright? What do you mean huh?"

He didn't answer me. I was thinking that I should keep on asking him what he mean by 'he's alright.' But I think he might find me nosey like the other rest of the girls. Gee...they always get into each other problem including relationship. So I decided to keep it to myself and ask him later. When we arrive at Lake View, I quickly got out admiring the park and the pond. I was so happy that this place hasn't change a bit. It still looks the same.

"Wow! Everything stills the same," I said happily sitting down on the swing.

"Yeah...everything stills the same," said Lucas standing next to me as he watches me swing myself.

"Yeah...also bring me horrible memories that I don't want to think about it," I said chuckling to myself.

"Of course," said Lucas started to laugh. "I remember when you were running around the playground with that little pink dress of yours."

"Well...at that time you and your ugly friends were trying to wet me with your water guns of yours," I said rudely to him. "And I remember when I was on the swing...this same old swing. You say that you will promise to not push me hard and that you won't try to harm me and you did. You made me jump off the swing almost breaking my arm."

Lucas started to laugh even harder.

"Oh yeah...I still remember that," said Lucas laughing. "You went and told my mother about it and I got grounded for two whole weeks...sweeping, doing the dishes, cleaning my bedroom. Including taking out the trash too which I hate when I was still a little kid."

"And you still hate doing it too," I joked.

"I do not...not anymore."

"Curse you, Lucas," I said getting off the swing.

I started to walk around the playground as Lucas try to catch up with me.

"Why are you cursing me?" Lucas asked me.

"I just wanted to, why?" I answer him back.

"Well," continue Lucas, "because the day that you started to curse me is making me having bad luck."

"So...I don't really care. It's not my problem."

"It is your problem."

"No it's not!"

I pushed him away from me starting to run, giggling at him.

"You! Get back here!" he yelled at me.

I stick out my tongue at him, running. He then runs after me trying to get me. He was fast because when I was about to run to the playground, he tackle me on the ground and he started to tickle me. I started to laugh so hard, telling him to stop but he won't. Finally on my fifth time telling him to stop, he stops. I slowly try to gain back my strength when I noticed he was on top of me, staring right into my eyes. He smiles at me and our face were so close to each other. I could felt myself blushing.

"Get off me, Lucas!" I yelled at him pushing him off, still blushing.

I sat up as Lucas lay down on the grass chuckling, looking up at the cloud. We stayed there quiet for a moment when I turn to look at him.

"What are you looking at?" I asked him.

"Clouds," he answers me.

"Clouds? Umm...stars are much better to look at because they're bright and shining. Also...stars make good image. Better than clouds."

He shakes his head slowly. "I just think clouds and stars are much likely the same."

"Why do you say that?" I asked him lying next to him.

"Okay," he said pointing to a cloud, "do you see that cloud over there?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah...so?"

"Look at it carefully and tell me what figure it is?"

I look at the cloud that he was pointing at. Then I see that it was a figure of a bunny.

"Wow!" I said cheerfully. "Is it a bunny?"

Lucas nodded his head. "Yeah...it is, my lady."

I started to chuckle. "Okay...what else is there up in the sky?"

"Umm..." said Lucas starting to search for another one. "Over there."

He pointed to another cloud. "Guess what that is?"

"It's umm...it's an ice cream cone!"

He started to chuckle getting up.

"By saying about ice cream...do you want some?" he asked me.

I nodded my head. "Of course I do."

I reach my hand up at him as he helps me up. Both of us started to head back into his car and he takes us to the ice cream shop. I picked out strawberry sundae because it was my favor. Lucas just takes an ice cream vanilla cone instead. I call him boring but he just chuckle about it. After finish eating ice cream, he takes me home safely. Suddenly I realized that I was supposed to be mad at him but it doesn't seem like I do. Maybe my cursing at him turn to curse me instead. I shake my head as I got out of his car.

"Thanks for the ride and for the day, Lucas," I said to him.

He smile at me and said, "You're welcome."

"Alright...bye."

I headed inside the house. The moment I got inside, I peek through the window seeing his car went.

"Wow...you're home early today?" said my mother the moment I enter the kitchen to grab some water. She was sitting on the dinner table, reading a book.

"Yeah...Lucas drives me home today," I answer her taking a slip from the cup.

"Lucas?"

I nodded my head. "The little brat that use to play with me at the park...Lake View, that's him. You remember him?"

"Oh...Lucas," said my mother shaking her head. "He was such an adorable little boy."

"Urg! Please mom. He's just an annoying little brat and he's still is."

My mother started to chuckle. "By mentioning his name, I should invite his family over for your father birthday which it is coming up."

My mother stood up walking out of the room.

"Me and my big mouth," I said angrily to myself.

When I got into the study room, my cell phone started to ring. I look at the caller ID and it was Joan. I grumpily answer it because I knew what she was going to say to me already.
