Chances Are They Might Be Lying

This poem is mostly about politicians. I know it’s a different take than most of my readers are used too but I had to do it, I just felt strongly about this cause. I grew up as a disenfranchised youth and it just sickens me to see people take advantage of "lower class people" for their own personal gain. Enjoy…I would like to hear what your opinions are thank you.
People see what they want to see
while They speak of helping addicted souls,
cleansing of all broken down homes
and painting down old graffiti

They think they know better
by giving us the People a little "chance"
so we can work our way out and begin to advance
but all we get are our hopes and dreams explained to us in a letter

These politicians are the best of liars cause the People believe them
Thinking that the worst of days have passed
allowing for the better times to enjoy and relax
and all We can do is believe in the System

Because Democracy is dead,
well for the most part, if you're not trying
Yes Chances are They Might be Lying
but you'll never know until you give it a chance

Maybe the addicts will get the help They need
The broken down home's can produce the next great president
or the old graffiti can help create a new Art establishment
cause People can see whatever the want to see
