Challenging Success And Personal Growth

Unfortunately, it is a fact that a great many people are unhappy in their jobs. They go to work everyday out of necessity, not because it is of interest to them or is a challenge. Each day they spend eight hours in misery with no room for personal growth. Personal success is only a flicker as the fire is never able to ignite. It's a human trait that is there, in the heart, waiting for the right moment to become a blazing inferno, but alas the success challenge has been quenched in favor of family and security.

Believe it or not, there are more opportunities today where one can become involved in that challenges personal growth. Now offers of individual success are more approachable, than ever before. Companies seek innovative people who want to be involved in company processes. This is a segment of people who seek security and recognition in the company challenge. They want to be recognized for their effort yet feel safe in their position. They have settled into a life of mortgages, car loans, family, social clubs and credit card bills that has molded their way of thinking into a life style. They worry about their credit rating, social standing, and image. They are usually college educated and settled in their favorite church, associations and philosophy. These people are a class of doers yet they are followers of the system they are in. Fear of failure is a motivating force because they have placed too much emphases and value on material possessions and the possibility of losing them. They have created their own world of reality where they feel they are in control of their destiny.

There is another segment of people who rise above it all to challenge the system and demand the most of it. This is an unsettled breed who strive for personal success and fulfillment. They strive for excellence in plotting their own course. They are an energized movement of movers and shakers and self motivators who are always turned on and tuned in. They cut their teeth on challenging electronic games and computers and appreciate the opportunity and abundance that is provided for them. In their energized world there is no fear of success or failure. They live life to its' fullest because in their hearts they know they are backed by infallible principles and laws and they're not afraid to show it. A mighty driving force for these people is the ability to create and the challenge contained in it. They don't seek rewards because their pleasure is in playing the game. Their rewards are a result of and not a means to, as an indication as how well they played the game. It's not benefits they seek but the rush of the challenge. The promise of promotions and recognition don't mean anything, in fact they are more apt to move on because there is no stimulus for higher achievement. These are the people who climb mountains, race cars, and jump from airplanes. Success is not an option but a necessity.

Surrounding media contains negative influences at every turn, discouraging personal growth. Even though society stifles differences or anything not understood, the person who knows who he/she is, is not afraid of life and disregards negative manipulation by being cautious and not caving in to the pressure of those who would see them fail. The self assured person faces life on the assumption that they will be successful. There is no maybe or perhaps only doing. They know they must be precise in formulating a plan for success by acquiring knowledge, becoming as professional as possible and being persistent. They realize there is a price to be paid and they are willing to pay it. They develop a desire that becomes the fuel that drives them toward betters things and become well balanced in their life's functions. Their family, religion, financial, social and physical parts all are balanced for continued growth. Like any living, growing thing, they know they must be in balance for optimum results.

Focused thinking and "Setting Goals" means there are proper procedures that must be adhered to. Successful people also know there are required "must do" or procedures to follow for successful personal growth. A groundwork must be laid for before a firm foundation can built. Like a blueprint for building a house, a blueprint for personal growth must also be drawn up. Without a blueprint or guide, success is only wishful thinking and not responsible action. An organized plan for personal success may be applied when basic fundamental success principles and procedures are developed and understood. Just like learning the basics of walking or talking, personal growth success requires learning certain basics. Then policies and procedures can be developed on insight and direction to plot a defined, reliable course. A concise formula can be devised and implemented which will lead the individual, step-by-step to success.

It would not be rational to think that there is only one formula that fits everyone. Because self-motivation is self induced there are no guarantees for sustaining its endurance. The fact is, no one can work at full capacity every hour of every day. In doing so, life would become an endless cycle of active periods broken with occasional rest periods. It is more desirable to maintain a balanced structured approach to the work schedule with each work period directed toward a final outcome. Through planning and sticking to it, you can minimize non-productive times that might threaten to undermine your success. Truly, the more you are active, the more you want to be active because it's human nature to be creative. When a person is not creative, they tend to loose esteem and lack of esteem leads to failure.

If you use the definition of success as "progressive accomplishment of personal worthwhile goals" than it becomes a challenge and never ending process. Progressive means higher, so when a goal is met it must be replaced with a higher goal. Like stair steps leading to higher levels when a level is reached you can only go to the next higher level.

Your Potential
Your potential is limitless because you are placed in a world of abundance. There is opportunity around every corner, and by making the right choices, you can't fail. So, if it's a world of choices then it seams illogical that fear, doubts or worry should hamper success. As mentioned before, people naturally seek creativity. They are purpose seekers. Without purpose, people become disoriented and loose direction. Mankind has been blessed with life to grow and increase in higher aim and purpose. It is a reasonable acceptable answer to what life is all about.

People think of success as competition with others but that is not a true definition of success. Success is a realization of accomplishment which is personal not rivalry. If your potential is limitless, then your realizations must be limitless also. Discovery is infinite because in one discovery is the question of another. Potential is only limited to your ability for acceptance. A goal is like a target. In order to hit a target you must know your target take aim, and then fire. There are some things to take into consideration. First what are you shooting at? Second, how far away is the target? Third, do you have a powerful enough gun to reach the target? Forth, take careful aim. Fifth, fire. Even shooting at a target takes planning and know how. Obviously, the more you practice the more often you will hit the target.

Your potential for success lies in you. You are the ultimate factor, no excuses, no recourse. You make it happen. Neither God, man or your momma will do it for you. You have to take advantage of the abundance that surrounds you. By making an intelligent, calculated choice you can minimize the risk for success. The reason most people don't achieve success is because they don't have a clear defined concept of exactly what success is in the first place. They won't take that first step because they don't know which direction to step. That's why most people opt to work for someone else. They simply don't want do deal with making decisions and they don't know how to plan.

If you think success is gauged by material wealth than you can't be more wrong. Success is fulfillment, happiness and meaningful increase of being. This necessitates balance which decrees fulfillment. You have the potential to achieve your worthwhile predetermined goals by simply planning to do so. If it's not in your plan, then who's plan is it going to be? Joe Blow down the street doesn't care if you achieve your potential or not. Your spouse, in-laws, out-laws government or even God won't make your goals, because they can't. It's personal, if someone else does it for you, it's no longer yours, it's theirs. Then it becomes their goals, their potential.

No one is a complete failure. Simply by the act of living itself, there is an increase in experience. Everyone reaches some goals even if they weren’t planning on it. It may have been by happenstance or chance but an occasional goal is reached. This kind of person never knows their true potential or even have a realization of what their potential could be. They simply go through life and never see the abundance around them. They allow the world to control their life instead controlling the world around them. They are lost and doomed to despair because they are blind to what is in their power to do. If a person is spiritually barren, or socially rejected, or emotionally unstable then how can he/she seek what they are blinded to. A person who is physically broken, or has a family that detest him/her, or is intellectually sterile. They can't find happiness in a big bank account or the bottom of a whiskey bottle. So wealth doesn't make people – people make wealth.

Successful people are those who understood that success is more than possessions and money.

If you interpret the definition of success as a " union with God in gained personal experience" then success cannot be realized by accident. There has to be a conscious action for achievement. Because success is defined, Luck, coincidence or accident does not enter into the equation for achievement. Happenstance is simply a random incident that occurs with or without thought process. Success must be supported by directional cause. If it is not, it is simply random order and not part of the success identification. Success is a progressive act on the part of the accomplisher because it is the realization of worthwhile personal goals. Success in all accounts, is a forward movement, it is an expansion process. All of creation is expanding as it moves forward in time. That which is not expanding becomes stagnant and dies. The creation has no limitations and Man as an outsource of His achievement. God prevails and provides, Man partakes and expresses.
