Chain Puzzle Ring - How To Solve Yours

So you’ve got yourself a lovely chain puzzle ring but you’re having some trouble putting it back together, right? Well, no problems, we’re here to help. Our chain puzzle ring instructions are intended for the chain puzzle rings crafted by our jewelers or by Jose Grant in the USA. However these chain puzzle ring instructions will work for copies as well.

Here are the steps to follow when solving your chain puzzle ring:

1. Find the end band of your chain puzzle ring that is stamped "Jose".
2. Hold the stamped band in your right hand with the rounded side against your thumb and the flat part against your forefinger.
3. Bring the next band up and fit its notch into the notch of the end band, then fold the bands down.
4. The bands should now fit together, but they may not fit perfectly as the next band will be between them – note the open loop.
5. Bring the next band up towards you, fitting it into the open loop.
6. Then flip the band over until the notch fits in with the notches of the first two bands.
7. Bring the band down and into place.
8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 for each additional band on your chain puzzle ring until you have completed your chain puzzle ring.

If you’re still having difficulty solving your chain puzzle ring, try turning the bands in the opposite direction when fitting them together. This may work for many of the chain puzzle rings made in the middle east.
