Other names tagged under this condition are nongonococal cervicitis, and non chlamydial cervicitis. The symptoms that fall under this condition are only of two kinds.

There are certain treatment options available for women undergoing the various forms of this condition. Heat cautery is a procedure that destroys abnormal cells present on the surface of the cervix, where other normal tissues will naturally grow and replace what has been eradicated. Laser treatment and cryosurgery are also another two options available for women, but these are put forward only in extreme cases where the infection has escalated to a more severe state.
