Cell Phones

This poem is awesome, happens to everyone!
I can’t talk to my friends
I feel all alone!
I’m desperate! It’s what I have to have!
The new cell phone!

The new cell phone
I dream about everyday
Save every penny a way

When we finally go to the store
My mouth drops to the floor
There’s no time to waste
I tell my friends with great haste
The phone’s here!

But while the children draw near
Father does not cry happy tears

He has to pay and pay
While they play and play
Is it worth it?
Of course!
But he knows it is like flogging a dead horse
In 2 years it will broken or outdated somehow
And just when that phone has been paid, well…
It begins again, I’m afraid
