Caution: People Used to Social Networking through Facebook or Orkut May Soon Find the Real World "Boring"

The children who have grown alongside the confluence of internet, are the once who are sacrificing the ecstasies of living a practical life for the sake of binding their spell with a social networking website like Orkut, Bebo or Facebook.

"The teenagers who indulge in flaunting their active profiles on these websites , often de mark the bliss’s of real life. These psychophillic creatures love meeting their friends in the virtual realms of internet, they have hundreds of friends to say at least, but only a few of them have really met them in the real corridors of life, " said a Dr. Khera, Psychiatrist, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

"The Agonies of Virtual World "

"It’s a stimulating world where everything changes at the click of a mouse. You can make or break a relationship by adding or deleting a profile from your friends list, it’s that easy. You don’t have do carry along that "emotional baggage", which usually comes along naturally while building a relationship in the real world. Also the virtual world is so dynamic -That you can say or can do anything, without worrying about the consequences due to that act. You can even do the things which you might not be able to do in the real life, for instance, you can try be to be what you aren’t in your real life," further added Dr. Khera.

"Often the teenagers in their early years are found culprit to "falling victim to social networking websites". They don’t have the real experience of life and therefore are attracted to the virtual world — That ultimately staunches their umbilical chord that binds them with real life, such youths are vulnerable to "Social Phobia" or even suicide," warned Dr. Khera.
