Steak and Mushrooms Recipe
To make this cast iron skillet steak you will have to follow the following steps. Here are the ingredients that you will require:

- 3/4 cup red wine of your choice
- 2 tablespoonfulk - Butter
- 2 tablespoonful - Minced onions of your preferred choice
- 1 clove garlic
- 8 ounces- Fresh mushrooms of your choice

- 1/4 tablespoonfull - Dried Thyme leaves.
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoonful - Flour and some to be kept separate for dusting the steak
- Some beef broth
Step 1: Melt the butter in the cast iron cookware such as a skillet or pan on medium low heat and add the minced onions immediately.
Step 2: Add the mushrooms and saute until they are tender. Now add the garlic and saute the mix for 1 more minute.
Step 3: Pour the flour and cook for 2 minutes and then immediately pour the wine as well as the beef broth. Add the thyme, black pepper and salt and let the dish cook until it boils. Then simmer for 20 minutes till the dish is semi dry.

- 1 pound beef top flank or round steak
- 1 ½ to 2 tablespoonful - Spicy Southwest or Cajun seasoning
- Vegetable oil spray (Olive Oil)
- 8-Medium red skinned potatoes cut in half
- 2 cups minced onions
- 2 cups beef broth
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 carrot cut in thin strips
- 2 bunches of mustard greens, collard or turnip greens, stems to be shred and cooked.
First of all freeze the steak so that is will be easier to cut it into thin slices while it is still firm. Slice the flank steak across its grain into long strips of about 1/8-inches. Now coat the beef strips with spicy seasoning. Preheat a large skillet pan on medium-high heat and then spray vegetable oil it. You can even apply a light coat of olive oil. Add the steak and cook quickly while continuously stirring, for at least 5 minutes. Once the steak is golden brown you may reduce the heat to medium. Now you can add the potatoes, onion, beef broth, and garlic. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes and then add the carrot strips. Now add the greens and cook until carrots are tender.
