Cast for the New Dancing with the Stars Season Has Been Announced
Dancing with the Stars is gearing up for its ninth season, and the list of cast members is an interesting one indeed.
Season nine of Dancing with the Stars will launch soon, and the cast for the show was revealed yesterday. On the list were fewer stars than normal, but oddly a number of ex-congressmen are on the list. The show, which is a perennial favorite amongst reality television show fanatics, has a little something for everyone this time around. Among the celebrities from the entertainment industry that will appear on the show is Melissa Joan Hart, of "Clarissa Explains it All" fame as well as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." It is expected that Hart will be a favorite among fans.
Donny Osmond is another from the entertainer set on the show. Marie, Donny’s sister, was quite close to winning just a few seasons ago and there are some who are already predicting a win for Donny, who has built a career around the entertainment field. There are also a few athletes on the show, including Michael Irvin, former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and loquacious football announcer, as well as Louie Vito, a professional snowboarder.
Tom DeLay is perhaps the strangest choice for the show. A former house majority leader, DeLay is well known for his attack on the "values" put forth by Hollywood. Among the others that will be on the show are the "famous because her father is" Kelly Osbourne, well-known former SI swimsuit model Kathy Ireland, Joanna Krupa, a model who first made a splash in the U.S. with the movie "The Superstars," and a menagerie of others that are sure to make the ninth season of the show just as entertaining as the previous eight.
