Carrie Underwood to Serenade Idol Losers
Carrie Underwood's recent cover of Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home is going to be the song played when Idol losers exit the stage.
Carrie Underwood is probably the biggest star to come out of American Idol and now she is going to be the last voice that Idol losers hear when they are voted off the show. Underwood has recently released a cover of the Motley Crue ballad, Home Sweet Home, and that song is the one that the contestants will hear when they know their time is up.
The song is also being released as a single and the proceeds from sales of the song will go to benefit the Humane Society of the United States. Underwood was quick to point out how appropriate this is, given the fact that the Humane Society finds homes for pets in need.
The news of the song's inclusion on one of America's most popular television shows had to come as great news for Nikki Sixx and the rest of Motley Crue. I'm sure all of those guys could use a financial shot in the arm during these difficult economic times.
In more Idol news, Adam Lambert seems to be the judges' favorite this week, as he nailed his rendition of Michael Jackson's Black or White. With the contestants performing Jacko songs this week, the stage was set for bad puns and tongue-in-cheek references to the caricature that is Michael Jackson. Neither the judges nor the contestants missed their chances to hit those notes.
