Underwood told Gayle King on CBS This Morning that she had no issues with Swift and that she enjoyed her music. King questioned Underwood about a rumored rift because of a recent Us Weekly article that cited "anonymous sources" saying that Swift felt like Underwood was always rude to her and thus avoided her whenever the two were in the same space.
Both singers gave strong performances at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, with Swift opening the show and Underwood singing in a specially made dress that doubled as a projection screen. Ultimately, the Swift and Underwood rumors seem much more like a well-timed Grammy rumor than anything with actual substance. Both singers are at or near the top of their respective games and both generally handle themselves appropriately.
Of course, with Swift there is always a story about a recent ex and many are pointing to her Grammy performance as a direct shot at Harry Styles. Whether that’s true or not is open to interpretation. After all, nearly every Swift song addresses an old flame or a budding romance. As for the rumored spat with Underwood, these two young stars are at very different points in their personal lives, so it’s hard to imagine that they would have enough common ground to find differences with one another.
