• The next step is to lay down the carpet underlay on the floor and trim off the excess ones, that lies along with the edges of the room.
• Now, count the length of the longest side of the room and add extra 5 inches to the count.
• Measure the carpet length and adjusts it according to the room dimensions.
• Mark the length with the help of a chalk line and then trim of the excess with a sharp utility knife.
• Now, lay your carpet on the floor and dry fit the carpet. You might need another carpet, if your room is of a larger size.
• With the help of a seam cutter, cut both the carpet pieces, cut a seaming tape and then place it in the center of both the carpets.
• Heat the seam iron and then take it along the carpet seam. This is done to melt the adhesive and further join together the edges.
• Let the adhesive dry for some time. Further, fix the carpet to the tackles strips. Push the carpet in it, so that it is permanently fixed into it.
• Cut the excess carpet with the help of an edge trimmer.
• Fix on the other sides of the carpet in the same way.

Installation cost in the southern states is comparatively lower, than that in the northern ones.
