Captive Part 6
Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time. It has been difficult because I have been busy. I may have errors and it may not be the best so if there are any comments or suggestions please pleas please comment!
"Mr. and Mrs. Shanton, I would like to ask if I may date, oh uh… court, your daughter."
"Well this is unexpected," Mrs. Shanton answered, "but yes you may. Robert, what do you say?"
"I say, do you love her?"
"Yes sir, with all of my heart."
"Then you may." Marie smiles widely and turns toward Willem and kisses him.
That night Marie got ready for bed and climbed in. Willem then climbed in next to her. "Willem what are you doing?"
"I’m going to sleep next to the most beautiful woman in the entire world."
"This feels awkward right now."
Willem kisses her and gets out of the bed, gets a blanket and a pillow and lies on the floor next to the bed.
"I’m sorry you don’t have to sleep on the floor."
"It’s fine. I’m used to it."
"Are you sure?"
"Goodnight."

August 21
I am so stupid. I was so embarrassed last night when Willem slept on the floor and I was feeling comfortable in a bed. Tonight will be different. I will let him stay with me so he is not on the floor again.

That night Willem gets the floor ready when Marie calls to Willem and pats the side of the bed next to her. Willem stares at her for a few seconds and then smiles and gets up in the bed.
"So what made you change your mind?"
"I never changed my mind; I just was shocked not used to another person so close to me."
"Okay."
Willem then kisses Marie and pulls her to him.

August 22
ast night was great. I was a little scared at first but then I thought that it was Willem and I felt better. He is perfect in every way and I hope he will never leave me.
September 3
I walked over to the neighboring houses to see if anyone has stayed. It took about thirty minutes to get to the first house and see if anyone was there. I guess I forgot it was my good friend Kate’s house, because when she opened the door not only was she surprised but I was also. She asked me if I would like to come in and I accepted. We started talking about the months that I have been gone and in return I told her about my "adventures." I told her that I mainly just sat in a dirty cell but she begged me to go on and so I did. She seemed fascinated, especially when I started talking about Willem. She asked me questions like if I really loved him, and what he looks like.

"You have had such an adventure while I sit here, in this house, with nothing to do."
"Kate, it’s not that interesting! I was just lucky I got out of there."
"I’m just glad your okay Marie It must have been awful in that cell."
"Please let’s just stop talking about it. It’s over and done with."
"Okay."
"Is Willem here?"
Marie looks around slyly, "Yes he is."
"Can I meet him!!!" she looked at me with large pleading eyes that I could never resist.
"Yes, I was about to ask you that."
"Well, let’s go," she says impatiently as she drags me along back to my house.
"I’m fine. I’m just a bit hungrier than usual."
"Oh that’s good at least it’s not too bad then."
"Well I was extremely lucky. I can’t help but think of the less fortunate people who are still captive and didn’t have someone like Willem to watch over them. I keep having nightmares about them."
"I never really thought of that before."
After that they walked silently back to Marie’s house. They walked in as Marie’s parents were making lunch.
"Mom, dad, I’m back. Is it okay if Kate eats with us?"
"Of course Kate can eat with us," mom says and then turns to Kate, "I haven’t seen your parents lately are they alright?"
"I’d rather not talk about that now."
"Oh, well okay," she turns back to her work.
Marie grabs Kate’s arm and runs upstairs. "So what else has gone on since I was gone?"
