Can't Help Hating You...

.... dedicated to people I hate!
Yes, a lot of things make me angry. A lot of things irritate me to the core. However, what angers me the most is the facade of civility and class that most people don when they step out of their dwellings to partake of the enterprises of mundane social life. The fact that I can sense such people's true intentions despite their veneer of faux concern and diplomacy doesn't help either. What makes matters worse is that the world teems with such specimens of humanity which makes it impossible for me to completely avoid coming in contact with the aforementioned subspecies of homo sapiens on a daily basis. So, just what sort of people am I referring to here? To be specific, the following list should make the 'piss-me-off' categories pretty clear:

The Leeches
These are the people who call themselves your friend but they remember you only when they have something, they think, they can get you to do for them. They suck on you for emotional and material nourishment and forget all about you as soon as their needs are taken care of, only to crawl back for more whenever they run out of resources. This category consists of people who are not only selfish but also brazen enough to go back to their benefactors (read victims) asking for more!

The Scandal-o-phages
These are the people who thrive on gossip! Deprive them of it and you will literally see them wilt and die! These people are nice to you on your face but bitch about you as soon as you turn your back. I feel more pity than hatred for them. They can never be loyal, nor truly belong to anyone as they have this innate need for attention which compels them to act as circulators of gossip in all social situations. It's like a disease they suffer from, hence, the pity.

The "I-judge-you, You-judge-me-not"s
These are people who cannot help judging others at the very first glance! You will often find them deliberately engaging you in conversations or throwing you inquisitive glances from across the hall. Rest assured that while doing so, the judging-wheels of their minds are constantly churning, steadily sizing you up! I absolutely abhor people who are quick to judge others without attempting to be objective, but get offended when the same treatment is meted out to them. Such people suffer from a chronic case of double-standards which is, mostly, of terminal proportions.

The Free Will Killers
I saved the worst for the last. This type of people are those who can't get along without poking their noses in everyone else's affairs and deem it their sacred duty to offer their valuable advice on every 'effing' thing! "I ain't got a life, so I won't let you have one either!" is the motto by which they live. Such people don't stop at just offering their advice - they try every trick in the book to make you drive the train of your life on tracks laid down by them! It all starts with trying to convince you to follow their example by reasoning with you ('because it's good for you', 'because it worked for me/us', 'because if you don't act this way now, you'll regret it later', etc.). Coercion enters where reasoning fails ('everyone else does it, why won't you?', 'you'll be a social outcast if you don't!'..... and the likes!) and, finally, comes accusatory resignation ('you're too stubborn', 'you'll remember my words when you face problems later', etc., etc., etc.). These people are the predators that prey upon other people's happiness. Most people who fall under this category are usually those who didn't get what they wanted in life or didn't have much control over the directions their lives took. Hence, they harbor a sort of morbid hatred for others' free will. A sad lot, I tell you!

Huff! Just thinking of such people works me up! Do I resent dealing with such people? Always. Do I lose my cool every time? Well, I try not to! Years of interacting with nastiness may not have trained me to control my disgust for it but it has certainly trained me not to express it in its true form at all times. However, I don't entertain such people either. I see no sense in tolerating nastiness and exploitative behavior because, besides raising an infernal stench of ingratitude and unwholesomeness, such people strip you of your self-confidence and dignity over time. I prefer being on my own than in the company of these ravenous-wolves-in-human-form, just waiting to rip you apart and suck you dry!
