Candy Spelling: Ecstatic

Candy and Tori Spelling have been at war reportedly since Tori took up with her now husband Dean McDermott and poked fun at her mother on her show so noTORIous. The rift in their relationship worsened after the death of Aaron Spelling in June. Now Candy has reportedly told People magazine, "I’m thrilled and ecstatic and if Aaron were here, I know how thrilled he would also be to share in such a happy occasion."

That is quite the turnaround after Tori and Candy have been ripping each other apart in the tabloids. Tori alleges that her mother didn’t even call her when her father passed away, that she learned of his death in an email from a friend. It has also been reported that Tori only received approximately $800,000 from the TV mogul’s estate that was estimated at around $500 million. A source close to the family claims Candy saw to it that Tori received such a paltry sum and said, "If Candy had her way, Tori wouldn’t have gotten a thing."

Rumors that Tori is expecting have been dogging the actress since June. Her rep has consistently denied the reports, but now it has been confirmed that she is about 14 weeks pregnant and due in early spring. This will be her first child. Hubby McDermott has an 8-year old son with his first wife, Mary Jo Eustace. He and Eustace also have a 1-year old adopted daughter named Lola. Spelling and McDermott met in August of 2005 while they were both married, she to writer-actor Charlie Shanian. They quickly divorced their spouses and were married in an intimate ceremony in May in Fiji.
