Idea #1: Easy-To-Make Container Candles
Required Supplies: Container wax, attractive glass container (or a sea shell), glue, cotton wick (preferably pre-tabbed wick), fragrant oil and coloring dye (optional).

Steps for Making Container Candles
  • Use a double boiler to liquefy the container wax at about 175 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add fragrant oil and coloring dye in the melting wax and stir well.
  • In the meantime, add a drop of hot glue at the end of the wick and attach it to the center of the glass container.
  • Take the other end of the wick and tie it on a pencil to keep it straight.
  • Then, heat the container by placing it in the oven at about 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Pour the melted wax gently from the side of the container, until you fill it up to the desired height.
  • Leave the container candle for cooling, which may take about 5-6 hours.
  • Cut the excess wick off and enjoy your container candles. Read more on how to make beeswax candles.
Idea #2: Gel Candle Making Ideas
Required Supplies: Gel, deep coloring dye, zinc wick, glue, fragrant oils, embeds (optional), stainless steel pot and candle container (champagne glass).

Steps for Making Gel Candles
  • First of all, take the container and attach the zinc wick at the bottom by using a small amount of warm glue.
  • Pull the wick up and roll it on a stick or a pencil to keep it straight.
  • Make smaller pieces of the gel and melt them in a stainless steel container over a medium flame (about 200 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • After the gel liquefies, add coloring dye to it in small amounts, until you get the desired gel color.
  • For using embeds, light gel color is preferable to make them more noticeable.
  • The next step in making gel candles is to add fragrance; you can use ½ teaspoon per glass of melted gel.
  • Preheat the oven and warm the candle container to about 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • For using embeds, dip them in hot gel first and arrange along the sides of the champagne glass.
  • Pour the gel in the container while it is still hot, so as to minimize bubble formation.
  • Allow the gel to cool down and trim the excess wick.
  • Light the unique gel candles and have fun. Read more on how to make gel candles and making fruit gel candles.
Idea #3: Make Scented Candles
Required Supplies: Candle wax (paraffin wax), candle molding container (preferably pillar molds), coloring dye, candle scent (either liquid or solid), wick, wax thermometer and stainless steel pot.

Steps for Making Scented Candles
  • Gather the required supplies based on whether you are making richly scented candles or scented soy candles.
  • Heat the candle wax in the stainless steel pot over a medium flame (about 200 degrees Fahrenheit), until it melts completely.
  • Lay the wick in the center of the mold as per the instructions.
  • In order to keep the wick straight, you can roll the other end of the wick on a long stick and place it on top of the container.
  • Add candle color to the melted wax and stir the mixture for spreading the dye evenly.
  • Then add specific amounts of the perfume or the candle scent in the mixture.
  • After the candle mixture is blended well, gently pour it into the candle mold.
  • Allow the candle wax to cool down and harden. Remove the scented candle from the mold and put it on display. Read more on how to make scented candles.
