Candida Diet Snacks
With the number of foods you aren't allowed when suffering from candidiasis, you must be in severe need of some special snacks to deal with your hunger pangs. Take a look at some choices for snacks on this diet, here.

Snack Ideas
Take a look at the following food list for the Candida diet that can be consumed as snacks, along with some suggestions on combining them together for a delicious and filling snack.
- Lean cuts of Meat such as Chicken, Fish and Turkey (unprocessed)
- Almond or Cashew Butter Spreads (Avoid Peanut Butter)
- Vegetables
- Garlic Products
- Coconut
- Tahini
- Humus
- Air Popped Popcorn (not the commercial variety)
- Yogurt (plain)
- Nuts and Seeds such as Almonds, Pecans, Macadamia (Peanuts, Pistachios and Walnuts not allowed), Pumpkin seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Sesame Seeds (unsalted)
- Unsweetened carob chips
- Eggs
- Sardines, Tuna, Salmon (twice a week)
- (Brown) Rice Crackers
- Cottage Cheese
- Soy Milk/Rice Milk
- Homemade Tortilla Chips or Yeast-Free Commercial Varieties
- Homemade Salsa
- Fruits such as Blueberries, Raspberries and Strawberries (avoid other fruits)
- Sprouted Grain Bread
While a lot of the aforementioned foods above make for great snacks on their own, there are several ways in which they can be combined together for a yummy bite or even wholesome meals.
- Combine rice crackers with a slice of cottage cheese and some freshly sliced vegetables such as tomato and cucumber. This is also a great choice for a breakfast on the Candida diet.
- Raw vegetable sticks with a hummus or tahini dip are a great choice.
- Spread some natural, unsweetened nut butter on a celery stick and enjoy.
- A handful of (unsalted) nuts is one of the most nutritious and filling snacks when following this diet.
- De-bone sardines, or choose tuna as an option. Mash it and add to it some fresh lemon juice, pepper and salt, and enjoy.
- For those of you missing a salad dressing on the Candida diet, yogurt makes for a great dressing. Add to it some salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar for a great dip. You could also add some fresh mint leaves and mustard powder and make yourself a yummy dip or a dressing with a salad.
- You can also add some fresh berries to plain yogurt and enjoy.
- Tortilla chips with homemade salsa are the most preferred choice as a snack on this diet.
- Enjoy a sandwich made of sprouted grain bread, some pieces of chicken, turkey, or tuna with fresh vegetables and some mustard sauce as a spread.
