Candida is a type of fungus that resides in the body, but it does not cause any harm as the immune system keeps it under control. Due to some reasons like steroids, antibiotics, birth control pills, excessive sugar, sexual intercourse with an infected partner etc. the species C. albicans overgrows in the mouth or genital region. This infection is known as Candidiasis. Sometimes this infection is unnoticeable while sometimes it can be very painful. Candidiasis has to be treated with a specific candidiasis treatment, but you can also take efforts from your side to decrease the infection, candida diet is one way to do so. As you must be aware, certain foods contain a high amount of yeast, these are foods that you have to completely avoid. On the other hand, foods that have very less or no yeast at all should be included. By doing so, you will be able to stop the growth of yeast, thus helping in decrease of the infection. This whole procedure is known as candida cleanse. Candida cleanse is not very simple as you do not have to just add and exclude foods, you also need to make sure that you are getting the necessary nutrients from whatever you are eating. You do not need to worry about this, as the following are some nutritious candida cleanse recipes.

Quinoa Pancakes

Ingredients
  • Quinoa flakes, ⅓ cup
  • Eggs, 2
  • Coconut oil, 1tsp
  • Cinnamon
  • Stevia
Process

Take a bowl and add quiona flakes and eggs to it, stir well then add in coconut oil. If the mixture is runny after combining, add in more quiona flakes until desired consistency is acquired. When all the ingredients are completely blended, set aside. Now heat a pan on medium heat, add the pancake mixture to it and cook until golden brown. While serving, sprinkle cinnamon and stevia. Quiona is said to be very effective for decreasing yeast infection.

Spiced Lamb

Ingredients
  • Olive oil, 1 tbs
  • Finely chopped, 1 onion
  • Cumin seeds, 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds, 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds slightly crushed in a pestle and mortar, 1 tsp
  • Chili powder, ½ tsp
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Natural yogurt, 1 cup
  • Mango ripe, 1
  • Lamb steaks or chops, 2
Process

To make this candida cleanse recipe, heat oil in a skillet and fry the lamb in it, you can even grill it. When cooked, transfer the lamb steak to a shallow, oven proof dish, set aside. Add onion to the pan and cook until it turns brown in color. Add in seeds and cook for about minute, stirring continuously. Sprinkle salt and pepper as per taste, remove from heat. Coat the lamb with this mixture and turn it over and then coat it from the other side too. Place the lamb in low oven so that it remains warm, set aside. Now peel and chop the mango, mix it with chili powder and yogurt. Coat the lamb with this mixture and cook further for about 5 minutes. Garnish with mint leaves and serve.

Red Snapper with Spinach

Ingredients
  • Red snapper, 4 fillets
  • Fresh spinach, 3-6 oz
  • Garlic, minced, 2 cloves
  • White onion diced, ½
  • Parsley, minced, 2 tbs
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Olive oil
Process

To make this recipe, preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Season the fish with salt and also rub it on both the sides with olive oil. Add onions and garlic to an ovenproof dish, add the fish, parsley, spinach and lemon juice. Cook for about 6-8 minutes in the preheated oven. Serve hot.

These recipes will surely help you to get rid of the unwanted yeast, so do include them in your diet. However, do keep in mind that it is very important to follow the diet for at least three months, as only then can the growth of the yeast be stopped.
