Can An Affiliate Learn How to Make Marketing Money? Yes, if You Learn How to Earn First!

Are you new to this wonderful world of internet marketing. I imagine if you are, you would like to learn how to be an affiliate to make marketing money. Well, this may sound absurd, but in the beginning, I would suggest that the last thing you think about is making money. If you will read on, I will explain what I’m talking about.

Let me tell you a reader’s digest version of my story because I have found that many, many people can relate to it. A year ago, as the economy was really getting bad, I lost my job. I did find another job relatively quickly, but I wasn’t going to be making nearly as much. I had long since wanted to check out making money on the internet, but never did. Now I came here with a sense of urgency.

However, this near desperation which brought me here in the first place, would prove to almost be my downfall. All I could think about was how was I going to make some money. I actually was so motivated that I spent a good deal of money to buy some coaching and access to some webinars.

This helped me a little bit, but in the end, the money I spent was on their low end scale, so I didn’t learn enough. I did put up a website and tried to sell some products on it, but it went nowhere fast. I started to read ad after ad that all promised to help me make absurd amounts of money. Some even said I could make tens of thousands of dollars in just 24 hours.

Luckily by this time, I had learned two important things:

• I didn’t want to throw any more money away cause if I did, I would probably get so discouraged that I would quit this altogether!
• I began to face the truth. I knew more than when I started, but I still knew very little.

It was with this surrender that I gained a lot of power. I no longer needed to pretend anymore. I also decided that I wasn’t going to put pressure on myself to be making a certain amount of money by a certain period of time. I remember that’s how that initial company got me to put up the money. They asked me to write down some short term, and long term goals, and then I just assumed they would take me to them. This is not a race, and everyone learns at a different pace. However, if you are truly learning how to earn, then you will be able to do this.

There’s a pretty well known statistic that has driven me through all of this. It is that 97% of internet marketers fail and quit. What that statistic alone doesn’t tell you is that most of those are people who didn’t take the time to learn how to be an affiliate to make marketing money. Here’s something that I believe 100% and tell to anyone who has asked for my help. If you take the time to learn how to earn, the only way you will fail is if you quit!
