Cameron Diaz Denies Criss Angel Affair

A& E’s Mindfreak star Criss Angel has been the center of attention this week after it was reported that his wife was suing him for divorce. Reportedly, Angel (real name Christopher Sarantakos) secretly married his wife, Joanne, five years ago after dating for a decade. The couple reportedly kept the marriage a secret to "further his career."

Diaz is now saying that she had nothing to do with ending his marriage. Brad Carafelli, Diaz’s rep, said Monday, "When Cameron met Criss Angel in May of this year, he had been separated from his wife for over a year and she had already filed a petition to divorce him in 2006. Cameron and Criss went on only four dates over a month ago and have no current relationship." Sarantakos, 39, is now accusing her husband of having an affair with Diaz, of mental cruelty, and abandonment. She also claims that Angel has not given her a "cent" of the money he has made since becoming famous.

Sarantakos’ lawyer, Dominic Barbara, said, "We’re naming Cameron Diaz as his lover. We will subpoena her as soon as she comes back to New York." Carafelli said, "These are meaningless, attention-seeking attempts to unfairly and unnecessarily exploit Cameron’s celebrity by trying to involve her in matters she has nothing to do with." Angel’s attorney, Elliott Wiener, has said Sarantakos’ accusations of mental cruelty and abandonment were "unfounded" and "the notion that she’s not being supported is simply not accurate." Bet Diaz is wishing she could make those four dates disappear from everyone’s memory…
