Calling on Angels

Angel therapy and calling on the spirits of the dead is certainly not from God! However some try to make peace between the Bible and these forms of Satanic influence. They call it "angel therapy".
Despite the fact that religion tends to be disregarded nowadays, one of the most common obsessions is the one with angels. It's a typical New Age thing to believe in angels and see them as some supernatural guiding spirits, which people can communicate within time of need.

I was surprised to find out that there even is such a thing as "angel therapy". One of the most popular "angel therapists" is Doreen Virtue, who has sold no less than 12 million books around the world. In her opinion, everyone has in the very least two guardian angels. And in order to get help from them, all we have to do is ask.

Doreen Virtue claims to belong to the Christian faith. However, there are things that contradict this. For instance, one thing is that she promotes and encourages communicating with the beloved deceased as a form of therapy. Doreen initially got into this kind of therapy in order to help people cope with the death of someone dear to them. Here is what she says again: "When I see people's lives healing because they have contacted a deceased loved one, I don't see how that could be a sin in any way. To me, it's a process of love and forgiveness - the very properties that Jesus urged us to adopt." Nonetheless, could we disobey the Word of God just because we claim this can help us go past suffering? The Bible clearly states that this is a sin and in the Old Testament's days people who committed were given the capital punishment. Will people ask dead people instead of asking God for advice?

The dangers in that are tremendous as those who "play with the fire get burned" and in such cases people open a door ( the highway to hell) and when they'll come to their senses and will try to close it, unfortunately that will not be possible, unless they ask GOD alone for help! If you have been involved in such practice you need to know that God calls this a sin, you need to repent and break those curses that came upon you because of witchcraft, ask God to wash you clean in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

One of the things that comes to mind when dealing with the issue of angels and their intervention, is the Bible's warning of believers that Satan himself is the master of disguise, and that demons can often take the appearance of "angels of light", deceiving people to their very own misfortune. The one promise they are likely to make is the same that the evil one made to Adam and Eve in the beginning: that they can be like God.

We are living times of spiritual consumerism. It is not just the Christian belief that "love for money is the root of all evil", but also the Buddhist view of this states that one's attachment to material things can cause him a lot of misery and troubles. However, Doreen states that such beings as fallen angels or demons can be chased away with the help of Archangel Michael. In fact, she makes reference to more than 100 angels that are there to help you and guide you in various aspects of your life.

But the thing is, from the Biblical perspective, God's will is above man's will. And although He does intervene in times of trouble, He only does it in perfect accordance with His plans, not ours. And the angels, seraphim, the Archangels are primarily His servants, not ours. We cannot order them around, use them and talk to them on a regular basis. This whole angel therapy and intervention thing reminds me somehow of those recruitment and employment agencies that intermediate between a potential employer and the company he/she desires to work for. It is often safer and wiser not to ask for help from the part of such agencies, for they can trick you and deceive you for their very own good and purpose. Instead, one could simply apply directly to the company having the desired job in store. The same thing with God and angels: why not appeal directly to God, through the only official, God ordained and permanently recognized interceder - Jesus Christ? He does very clearly say that: "All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37). If we choose to ask things from the very Source, without any intermediaries, we are sure to receive the original, unchanged and genuine quality products.
