- Stomach and Digestive System Related Problems: The most affected part of the body, due to an overdose of calcium supplements, is the digestive system. A common side effect is stomach pain, followed by belching caused due to excess consumption of calcium.
- Other Problems: Some other rare side effects of an overdose of calcium supplements seizures, confusion and coma. It may sometimes even lead to sudden death. Certain studies have found out that due to over accumulation of calcium in the bodies, especially in the arteries can lead to heart attacks.
