Caged Behind this Rage...1
I'm supposed to be doing something else at the moment, but I CAME UP WITH THIS GREAT STORY IDEA WHILE DOING MY HISTORY HOMEWORK ABOUT THE CIVIL WAR! :D Genius, right? Enjoy ~ Want me to write a second chapter? Comment and tell me! Also, I wanted to test out this type of setting back in the 1860's so that's why it's so short.
Chapter 1
April 10th, 1861
Time: 6:30 pm
I lay in my bed, clutching my journal to my chest, hearing the birds chirping outside my window of my small, but functional house. I sighed. "It'll be forever until you see me again." A voice told me, from the other side of my door.
"I know that Damon." I smiled slightly, but then it faded rather quickly.
"You're beautiful, you know that?" Damon called to me from the other side of the door as I smiled, looking out the window of my room.
"I know, you've told that to me over a thousand times already." I laughed, opening up the door to see Damon, standing in nice clothes before me.
"Are you ready?" He asked, taking my pale hand in his own. I nodded.
My mother looked at us as we were within inches of the door. "Have fun you two, but make sure she's home by 10!" My mother called to Damon as we went out the door and into the dead of night.
We were going to attend a party that's going to be thrown right before all the soldiers go off to war. It didn't make that much sense to me, but we just had it, so the soldiers could relax a little bit before the war.
