Buying wholesale goods in New York

If you are wanting to learn more about buying wholesale goods in New York you need to read this. Offering good tips on buying wholesale products in NY.
New York City is the place to be if you are looking for wholesale goods in the US as it seems to be the Mecca for everyone who wishes to sell and buy wholesale goods due to its high population and due to the fact that New York City is the fashion world Mecca of the United States as well. Rather you are looking for sunglasses or scarves for example; there are many ways to find whole sale goods in New York if you keep your eyes and ears open while you are out and about. There are two ways you can find good deals on wholesale items in New York, either by sample sales held in various locations throughout the city, even though most seem to take place Canal and Orchard Streets, or by looking for merchants who have small huts or tents set up with their items.

Although it may first strike you as odd to consider buying wholesale items through street merchants, it is a well known fact that these people get their leftover goods straight from the top, and that what you find on the street will be next year’s fashion for the rest of the United States, so it really is a good opportunity you will not want to pass up while in New York. If you are looking for a sample sale of clothing, your best bet is to keep your eyes and ears open for people passing out fliers around the Times Square areas and in Manhattan. Chances are if you find one sample sale, you will find many more and these outlets often have a large variety of goods available for purchase.

For smaller items, such as jewelry and replica sunglasses, you may have better luck trying to hunt down wholesalers with great prices on foot. For some reason, probably due to the higher traffic of passerby’s, most sunglass vendors seem to operate their huts or tent sales along Broadway between 20th and 30th Streets with the occasional booth or two set up on a side street along that area. If you are in the market for a bunch of sunglasses you can buy at wholesale and then resell, this is your area of the city per choice.

Once you find a vendor who has told you can resell their items (and make sure you ask so you don’t face legal consequences later) the best way to bargain with these people is cash. If you tell them you will buy 25 dozen of their wholesale sunglasses
(or frankly even just a few dozen if you are in the market for only yourself) they will keep a straight face, but inside their excitement is growing. You can usually wiggle down there price some if you pull out about ten to twenty percent lower in straight cash and say take it or leave. You will be surprised how hard it is for them to resist the lower price once they see the cash and knowing you are a big customer.
