Business Marketing on the Internet

Business marketing - a vast, vast field to cover in a meager 500 odd words. Nonetheless, I have made a resolve to cover at least one aspect of it in my article. Scroll down to read about Internet as a method to market your business.
Internet marketing is not an alien term to people any more. We are all very much aware of the fact that Internet is instrumental in increasing your business visibility. Let us find out how business marketing on the Internet can be done.

Basically, considering the fact that Internet has shrunk the global market to a major level, marketing on the "net" is fairly easy. There are many steps you can take to make sure that you make the most out of the available resources.

The first and foremost thing to do would be registering on Internet advertising websites like Google AdWords. These websites increase your visibility on related websites and web pages. Anyone interested in the advertisement can simply click on it and be directed to your website. Cool, ain't it?

Case study: Sambhav enterprises dealt in automobile spare parts. It started in 2003, until 2007 the annual net profit ranged between Rs. 4,00,000 to Rs. 6,00,000. In June 2007, they decided to take up active Internet marketing. From 2008 onwards, their annual net profit is an average of Rs. 17,50,000/-.

The next logical step would be to make sure that your website has relevant and search engine optimized content. This would help your website to rank in the search pages. Simply stated, this would increase visibility, leading to more page views, and then, you could capitalize on the concept of Google AdSense. Why say no to added income?

Case study: Asthitva HR engineering, an HR outsourcing firm, had a healthy income from their regular processes. Three years after inception, they decided to have their very own website. Their first step on the website was starting their Google AdSense account along with their AdWords account. With the increasing page views and visibility, Asthitva HR engineering, also had increased income. This income was redirected to employee benefits. This instantly led to better performance from them, and hence, more income, again.

Another very sneaky method would be marketing through social networking sites. You can market your product or services effectively through social networking sites. This brings you in direct contact with the potential clients. Further, when the potential clients see you on these sites, they are in a more relaxed mood. This can easily testify for the fact that they will give you a more intent thought. Works in your benefit, doesn't it?

Case study: Creativity (un)limited is a personalized gifts creating initiative. Located in a city, this organization did not operate from any office per se. They propagated their concepts and ideas through photographs and community pages on Facebook. Within their first six months they saw a whopping net profit of Rs. 500,000. What's more, they endured nil marketing expenditure!

Many more ideas like banner advertising and forum activities can also help in increasing your visibility on this global platform to a great extent. One advantage of online marketing is the fact that it involves minimal expenditure and the ROI can be multiple. More so, it is a dynamic platform. You can announce changes, improvements and improvisations to the entire world with a simple click. I think evolution of 'marketing' into the 'Internet marketing' is the best thing that could have happened to our business realm so far. Make the best use of it and remember: more business is not a justification for forgetting your business ethics! All the best!!
