Business Letter of Introduction
A business letter of introduction, which is a part of business writing, has a great significance in the business world. It is used for the introduction of a new person in the company to old customers or a new company to a potential client. It is also a good way of introducing a new product or service to the customers of the company. An introductory business letter would come under the category of formal letter writing, and so while writing it, there are certain rules and regulations that need to be followed carefully. Here is a free business letter of introduction that would aid you in writing a letter of introduction for businesses.

Introducing a Person or Company

When you are writing a letter to introduce your new company to other people, it is often referred to as a new business letter of introduction. The basic structure and format of formal letter should be included in this. You have to start the letter by addressing to a particular person or organization. If you are not sure of whom you are addressing the letter to, it would be appropriate to write 'Dear Sir/Madam'.

Begin the business letter of introduction by writing the name of the person or company that is being introduced. This should be followed by the purpose of writing the letter, i.e. it should be explained to the receiver as to why you want to introduce the person or company. In the next paragraph, you can mention some background information of the person or organization. For instance, if you are introducing a person, write about his qualifications, work experience and how their experience would add to the development of the company. You should also add the person's contact number and email address in the letter. You can even fix an appointment for the person with the individual or company that the letter is addressed to. If you are talking about a company, it would be beneficial to attach a company brochure, telephone number or web address of the company along with the letter for further reference.

Introduction of a Product or Service

The format of the business letter written to introduce a new product or service to a customer would remain the same. Begin the letter by informing the receiver about the new product that your company has launched. Once you have introduced the product or service, you can talk about the special features that it possesses. You can explain how it is better than the other products in the market, its cost, whether there is a special offer for people who order first, certain advantages, limitations, etc., of the product or the service. You can also mention something about the company that launched the product, and about its previous works and services that they offered. It would also be good to enclose a brochure about the product or service with the letter so that interested customers can do a detailed study of it. Moreover, do not forget to mention the telephone number of the company where customers can call to place their orders or to ask certain queries and doubts that they have about the product or service.

Important Things to Remember

Besides the way and format of the business letter of introduction, there are also certain other important things that you should know while writing it. The first important thing that one should remember is that the letter should be short and precise. People in the corporate world do not have time to read long and detailed letters, and if you want your client to read your letter, make sure that it does not go beyond four paragraphs. Many people make the mistake of writing in a vague manner. Avoid this totally and write in a manner that is very clear. Also write only those points that are relevant and would be considered as important by the receiver.

These are some tips that would be useful while writing a business letter of introduction. Keeping these guidelines in mind while writing an introductory letter would ensure that you write an effective letter.
