If the condition has been caused by some foreign particles such as smoke, irritants, dust or the like, then it may be easily treated at home. As soon as the particles are gotten rid off, the burning sensation will subside by itself. However, if the cause of the condition is any medical condition, then treating the same will help in resolving the problem. For this, you may need to visit a doctor. Whatever the cause may be, first and foremost, you need to take care of the pain and inflammation (if any). Get some ice cubes and mix in a glass of clean drinking water.
