Bumping Into Love! Chapter 2
I haven't written in a while. Sorry :D but I'm back!
I calmed myself down and then slowed down to see who I had bumped into. Then my heart stopped in total. Standing next to me holding my arm so that I would not fall was a gorgeous blonde haired boy. He had deep blue eyes and a was about 3 inches taller than me.
"I-im so sorry" I stuttered shocked by his looks
"Its fine, my fault are you okay?" He asked
"yes, im fine. Thanks."
He bent down helping me pick up all my stuff that I had dropped. I also got on my knees to pick up my stuff.
"So, uhh are you new here? I've never seen you hear before?" I asked
"Yeah I moved here over the summer" He replied
"Oh cool"
"yeah. So are you a junior?"
"No, sophomore, you're a junior?" I asked nervously
"Yeah. But I don't Really Know where anything is, could you walk me to class?"
"Of course!" I said to excited
He handed me his schedule. He had a map too but since our school was so big and confusing the map didn't really help anyone here. We walked in silence down the halls. then we finally got to his class.
"Here You are" I said pointing to the room.
"Thanks. By the way im Preston."
"Well nice to meet you Preston, im Ashley" I smiled
"It was a pleasure to meet you Ashley" He giggled.
I laughed "Soo ill see you around?"
"Yeah" he said walking into his class
As I turned away I noticed the time. I had to get to my class fast or I would be late. I walked fast hoping that I would get there before the bell rang. I got lucky because just as I walked into the class room the bell rang.
The rest of the morning dragged on. I don't think four classes ever seemed to go by so slow. Finally it was lunch time. I met up with Madison and got in the lunch line. Madison had pushed me and I had bumped into the person in front of me. Right when I was about to apologize Preston turned around.
"Nice to see you again, too" He smiled.
I giggled "I'm so sorry, we keep meeting this way"
He laughed "It's okay"
"Hey uhm wanna sit with us?"
"Sure" he replied.
He turned back around to get his lunch. I smiled at Madison.
"Who's that?" Madison asked.
"That's Preston, I bumped into him this morning and we talked" I answered
"Oh, he's cute"
"Yeah. I got dibs though"
She laughed "Don't worry. I'm Taken."
"Oh. I forgot." I laughed feeling stupid.
Then Me, Madison, and Preston walked over to the table. At the table already sitting there was Chris, Madisons boyfriend, Macy, me and madisons friend, Abby, another friend, and Ben, who is also a friend.
"Hey Guys" Madison and I greeted.
"Hey" Everyone said.
Ben looked up at Preston like he was a monster. Preston looked uncomfortable, but sat down anyway.
"Everyone, this is Preston" I said.
"Hey" everyone except Ben said.
There was a dead silence for a minute.
"Excuse me" Ben said getting up and walking out of the cafeteria.
Ben was quiet. He wasn't so much around us, he was most comfortable with Chris they are best friends, but around other people he was shy. Ben had sort of bad past. His brother went to Juvie and recently got out. His mother was an alcoholic and went to rehab and now Ben lives with his dad. But Ben believes the past is the past. He doesn't like to talk about his past. But when he see something that bothers him he gets upset and walks away from it.
"Does anyone know what that was about?" Macy asked.
"No." I said
"Nah" Madison replied.
We all looked at Chris hopefully.
"I don't know anything" Chris said
Preston was quiet the whole time at lunch. He didn't say 5 words. Then the bell rang. Preston left without saying anything. Everyone else said goodbye to each other. I had never been so confused.
