Building A God.

On my youtube site I have a tribute the crew and passengers of flight 93. Someone has left comments postulating that God and Allah are the same. They have gone on to hint that all gods are the same.

First of all, the Koran says that Allah had no son. Jesus is the son of God so logically Allah is not God. While the word Allah, means God, that is not who the Muslims worship. The characteristics are just not the same. But this irrational belief that there is one god that draw the best qualities from all the gods is just absurd. In this belief, people are building their own god.

I have visited Dodge dot com and built my own Charger. I click on all I want to assemble a righteous road machine. But can you do that with a god?

• I want the inclusive qualities of the New Age
• I want the Gospel Music of Jesus
• A dash of Zoroastrianism ‘cause it’s a cool name.
• I want two parts Hugh Beaumont from Leave it to Beaver
• And three parts Santa Claus

Congratulations, you have just created an imaginary god. And it cannot be greater than you, because you are the creator of it. So are you going to pray to it or just keep worshiping yourself?

The characteristics of God are there in the Bible. While Allah or Krishna or Ward Cleaver may share some of the same qualities with the true God, they are not the same. If you did believe that you could say that a Dodge Charger and a beam of light are the same because they are both fast. But the Charger is man made and does not reach 186,000 miles per second. God is not man made and we cannot take the characteristics we find uncomfortable.

Here is what you will want to believe once you realize that Jesus is God.
John 14:6-KJV says:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
