Build Big Biceps

If you're looking to build big biceps, there are some important things that you absolutely must be doing. Here are the big ones to focus on.
Many people have the workout goal to build big biceps. After all, when you look at something one of the first things you'll likely notice is their arms, so the more you can do to help build up these muscles, the more fit you're going to appear.

The problem is that many people go about their arm training in all the wrong manner, thus they don't build big arms but just experience a high level of disappointment instead.

Here are the main things you need to know if you hope to build big arms.

Focus On Compound Lifts During Your Arm Workout

The first thing you should be doing is focusing on compound lifts with your training. Many people are going into the gym and doing 3 variations of bicep exercises along with a couple variations of tricep exercises.

It's great that they are excited to train their arms and are devoting a lot of time to it, but these exercises are rather limiting.

You'd be far better off lifting heavy weights with bent over rows and chest press (both which will work the biceps and triceps) to build your arms that way.

Always remember that heavy lifting is what really builds lasting muscle so you want to be doing lifts that allow you to lift as heavy as possible.

Don't Do Arm Training Too Many Days In A Row

The next mistake people make with the goal to build big arms is lifting too many days in a row for arms. They'll do a chest day (which also works the triceps), a back day (also works the biceps), and then throw in an arms day on top of that.

This is way too much stimulus for the arms to handle and often they just wind up over trained and not growing at all.

Instead, choose a 3 day full body workout or an upper/lower split. This will give a nice balance between training and rest and you will get good growth results.

Hit The Arms With The Highest Frequency Possible

Finally, to go along with the last point, you'll want to hit the arms with the greatest frequency you can. Therefore, if you're doing a full body workout, you'll be able to hit them hard three times a week.

This is much better in comparison to say only being able to hit them once a week directly with that body part split you were doing.

You can definitely throw in a few bicep curls and tricep work on the full body days, but focus on the core lifts described in point one.

That will guarantee you're on the path to getting success.

So, don't continually get frustrated with your arm training. Instead, use proper techniques that will allow you to build big arms.
