Bodhgaya:

Bodhgaya is a small village, situated across the river Phalgu at Gaya District in Bihar. The place is pious with holding the footsteps of Lord Buddha, which dates back to 2500 years ago. The region is naturally beautified with lush greenery and its peaceful atmosphere, aloof it from the messy locations in the world. The main attraction of the place is the Mahabodhi temple, where Lord Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment. A9th century-old Shiva-Linga inside the temple complex calls for great attention.

Situated 10 kms away from Varanasi, the city of temples in India, Sarnath. History says that Lord Buddha has visited the place in search of His companions from Rajgir. Travelers can find pleasure in having a close glimpse of Dhamekha Stupa, built around 500 AD. Further, marks of ancient Buddhism can be seen in Chaukhandi, a religious monumnet.

Kushinagar:

Another popular destination for Buddhist pilgrims is Kushinagar. It is situated 53 kms west of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, India. Lord Buddha on the very place, in 543 BC has declared that His death very soon. Nirvana Stupa and temple and Wat Thai's temple is the prime attraction of the place. The former is endorsed with a massive reclining statue of Lord Buddha.

Lumbini:

A religious dham for Buddhist, Lumbini is situated in Nepal. Pilgrims after making a holy visit to Kushinagar can proceed towards the said destination. It is just 122 km from Gorakhpur city in Uttar Pradesh, India. A tour to Maya Devi Temple here offer the beautiful representation of Lord Buddha's days of boyhood.
