Bryan Adams Biography
Bryan Guy Adams, the Canadian rock singer and lyricist was born on November 5, 1959. Adams is popular as an artist who is radio-friendly. His nominations and awards at the Grammy rostrum have helped him earn the prestigious Order of Canada and Order of British Columbia. His contributions to pop music and philanthropy have rocked the entertainment world. . . .

This 15-year-old fella was the lead singer in the album 'If Wishes Were Horses'. He entered a song-writing partnership with drummer Jim Vallance that continues even today. As a team, they worked in various Vancouver studios via dedicated sessions. At the age of 18, Adams sent demo recordings to the Toronto based A & M Records and has released sixteen albums with them, since. Some of the memorable numbers include "I'm Ready" and "Remember" and "Let Me Take You Dancing".
Making a Mark
Brian Adams released the first self-titled album in 1980, from the Manta Studios in Toronto. The second album 'You Want It You Got It' was recorded in New York. This album marked his first release with Bob Clearmountain. The radio hit "Lonely Nights", gained him international recognition and popularity in the music industry, as a rock artist. He wrote two songs for the album "Creatures of the Night" - War Machine and Rock and Roll Hell that contributed in a major way to the rock and roll music scene.
"Straight from the Heart" and "This Time" from the Cuts Like A Knife album made it to the Billboard Hot 100. The music video was an instant hit and the album secured a No.8 on the Billboard 200 album chart. It also achieved the Platinum status in Canada and the United States and a gold in Australia.
Reckless was released in November 1984. The singles, "Run to You", "Heaven", and "Summer of '69" made history in music. "It's Only Love" was a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group. The song won acclaim at the MTV award for Best Stage Performance. The album was certified 'platinum' five times and made rave music reviews.
In 1985, Adams toured the United States, Japan, Europe, Canada and Australia. He traveled to Ethiopia and aided famine relief before headed back to Europe. He completed a fifty-city concert rock music tour with Tina Turner. The hit songs "Heat Of The Night" and "Hearts On Fire" featured in "Into the Fire", were recorded at Cliffhanger Studios.
"Waking up the Neighbors" was co-produced by Adams and Mutt Lange. It ranked at number six on the Billboard 200, in September 1991. The album contained the hits "Can't Stop This Thing We Started" and Everything I Do - I Do It for You" that were smash hits in dedicated music boxes. The latter featured in the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The song won him the Grammy Award in 1991 for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or for Television.
Adams has even performed with music legends Ben E. King and Nona Hendrix at the Ritz Theater. Among the many hit singles contributed to the music business by Brian Adams are "Please Forgive Me", "18 till I Die", "Let's Make a Night to Remember", "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?", "Back to You", "A Little Love", "I'm Ready" and "When You Love Someone". Contribution to Cinema
Brian has also written and performed several songs for the animated film, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. He contributed to the soundtrack of The Guardian, starring Kevin Costner. The Hollywood film had hit singles like "Never Let Go". He co-wrote "Never Gonna Break My Faith" for Bobby.
