Brooke Burke Wins Dancing with the Stars

As expected, favorite Brooke Burke out-danced Warren Sapp and Lance Bass to take home the mirrored ball trophy and claim the latest victory on Dancing with the Stars
Brooke Burke, former host of E!'s Wild On series as well as CBS' Rock Star, danced away with the latest victory on Dancing with the Stars. The 37-year old mother of four dominated the competition from the outset, leading the judges' scoring in eight of the ten episodes. And although she was clearly the best dancer of the bunch, she had to overcome strong fan sentiment for both Warren Sapp and Lance Bass.

Warren Sapp assumed the role of the lovable but dancing-challenged fan favorite, as he and partner Kym Johnson avoided elimination week after week. Sapp actually finished below fellow competitor Lance Bass according to the judges, but he was awarded a second-place finish based on fan voting.

Bass was lauded by the judges for taking risks in every one of his routines, but eventually fell short of the skill of Burke or the fan appeal of Sapp. And Bass' run with DWTS isn't over yet. He is set to join the Dancing with the Stars tour, which is set to begin in San Diego on December 17. Bass will join some former contestants as well as mainstay dancers on the show as they perform live at venues around the country.

Brooke Burke's victory marked the first for Derek Hough, a regular dancer on the show.
