Broken Trance
My mind is reeling.

Waiting for the sky to pour,
I just sit and stare at the dark.
The sky thunders its remark.
The wind whispers hatred into my ear,
I shift uncomfortably in the fear.
I snarl at the flashes before me,
The fireflies are merely annoying.
Flashes above, show the anger below.
Anger bred from confusion, I know.
Since I don't know where we stand,
Or if you even give a damn.
I feel like I'm wading into the end.
The end of the world,
The end of all time,
And all I do is make rhythms and rhymes.
Lightning flashes, thunder crashes,
All the while my head lashes.
Solve this riddle, end this rhyme.
Allow my thoughts to stop on a dime.
But here I am to sing and dance.
Until someone ends this broken trance.
