Broken Emotions

I’m down
Then I’m up
My emotions are all over the place
Please don’t look into my eyes

I don’t want you to see past the smile on my face
I’ve been hiding the true me

How much of a mess I am

And how much worse it can be
I try every day
To be something I’m not
