Broken - Chp. 21: Finale!

"I now pronounce you, husband, and wife." Holding hands, I could barely hear any applause. All that I could see or hear, was the sound of this man's heart and mine and the color of his eyes.

"You may now kiss the bride."

He lifts my veil up and unveils my face, he pulls me in and we kiss for a brief moment knowing this can wait for our honeymoon. "I love you," he whispers.

"Me too." I smile as we walk, arm in arm out of the church and into the car. I throw the bouquet and watch as Oscar's girlfriend catches it with delight.

"Honey, get in the car!"

"Yes, Chris." I smile as I step in, waving at my mom and step dad and my sister and little sister in law, my mother-in-law and father-in-law.

That was five years ago. My life now is almost perfect... almost. I now have two children, twins, Tyler and Sofie. They're only two years old but are full of life. They giggle constantly at the most funny things. Chris and I are really happy and still very much in love. I couldn't wish for a better husband.

Chris now works at his Dad's firm as the Co-Executive and still is as handsome as ever. Tyler has definitely taken his good looks. As for me, during the day, I'm Mommy but at night I'm chief-executive of the Stolen Children charity. I love what I do.

Oscar married Jodie, his neighbor and they have a three year old son called, Jake and a two year old daughter called Mia. Those two are adored by the twins.

My mom stayed in London along with my step-father. Jessie likes to stay with us, she's in high school now. Wearing makeup and all! Anyway, like I said, my life was almost perfect.

Aaron was sentenced to life in prison for harassment, theft, kidnapping and forgery. But Larissa escaped before the police could catch her and her child was found outside Oscar's house. Holly's five now and regularly comes over to play with the twins. She's knows what happened to her Ma and Pa but forgives them. She's incredibly brave and loved by all.

The twins are at Oscar and Jodie's right now, and I've just set off in my car. Chris is already by the grave when I get there, hold Jessie as she cries. I reach into my pocket and pull out a single white rose and place it on his grave.

I love you Dad.

I know if he were here today, he would feel exactly like I would, happy. I love my happy almost perfect fairytale, and couldn't wish for a better happily ever after.
