Broadband Services in India

Broadband Services in India,Broadband Services, Broadband in India and Wireless Broadband.
Broadband refers to a signaling method that includes the wide range of frequencies that later on divided into channels. Broadband is always a relative term understood according to its context. Speed of the Broadband depends upon its bandwidth, higher the bandwidth higher the data carrying capacity. Today broadband is used to carry almost all things like music, data, and videos without losing the audio and video frequencies required for realistic quality.

The life before the Broadband is very slow in the sense of speed as the data was transferred on the telephone lines on the speed of 64kbps.But in the current scenario the same telephone lines have the speed of several mega bytes per second through the fiber optic cable.

India continues to be one of the fast growing telecom markets in World. Despite the considerable interest in internet in India the numbers of users of internet are increasing day by day and the demand of high bandwidth is also increasing. In India there is a tremendous change among the dial up users and an estimated 60% of internet users are using the internet on regularly basis via the cybercafés, offices and their homes.

According to IAMAI the low cost of broadband services has helped increase in numbers of users. Government has also encouraged the adoption of internet through the policies and other initiative.

Airtel, the major private owned telecom company recently launch the 8 Mbps plan in Bangalore and Chennai which is highest in India. However the disappointing part is that it doesn’t have the unlimited data transfer facility and it’s too expensive.
