Britney Spears: Wake Up Call?

Britney Spears has temporarily lost custody of her children and sources close to the singer are wondering if this will be her wake up call.

It was reported that the source, who is a friend of the singer’s, said that she refuses to listen to anyone trying to tell her how to lead her life. The source claims that Spears has refused to listen to family, friends, lawyers, or managers who have tried to help steer her in the right direction. The source said, "So, when a judge now comes in and tells her what to do, she just isn’t going to do it. It’s part of a long pattern of behavior from her. She’s a spoiled brat, to put it mildly." The source reportedly added, "And when Brit doesn’t want to do something, she just doesn’t. Even when her kids are at stake. That’s the saddest part of all."

It was ruled Monday that Spears was to turn custody of sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, over to their father by Wednesday at noon until a further court ruling says otherwise. Spears reportedly lost custody of the boys temporarily because she does not have a valid driver’s license and she reportedly missed one of her court mandated drug tests. The court looks at a missed test as a "failed test." Spears dropped the boys off at Federline’s later on Monday and then went and applied for her driver’s license. Oh, and in between the two she dropped by the tanning salon…wouldn’t want to look pasty in her driver’s license picture, huh?

Spears is reportedly "optimistic" that she will get her son’s back, but friends of Spears are reportedly concerned about her and urging her to enter a rehab facility to try and get her life back on track. Federline has even tried to get Spears to check into a facility…for the sake of her kids. She seems to be spinning out of control and anyone who gets in her way reportedly just gets cut out of her life. It has been reported that Spears doesn’t even speak to her parents, Jamie and Lynn, because they have tried step in and control their out of control daughter. Maybe she will eventually listen to someone and get her life back on the right track. Another hearing is set for Wednesday.
