Britney Spears V. Her Dad

Daddy Spears reportedly sent an email to Page Six, a column in the New York Post defending Rudolph and criticizing his daughter. The email read, "When Larry Rudolph talked Britney into going into rehab, he was doing what her mother, father, and team of professionals with over 100 years experience knew needed to be done. She was out of control. Larry was the one chosen by the team to roll up his sleeves and deliver the message, to help save her life. The Spears family would like to publicly apologize to Larry for our daughter’s statements about him over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, she blames him and her family for where she is at today with her kids and her career. Larry has always been there for Britney. For this, we will forever be grateful to him"

Spears reportedly fired Rudolph on April 13 and sent out a video message in a sarcastic Valley Girl accent saying, "My management totally knew what they were doing when they sent me to rehab. They were so right." She punctuated her sarcasm with two-thumbs up. The fact that prior to rehab Spears was out partying every night, photographed in compromising situations, and ending up with her shaving her head doesn’t seem to be too big of a deal to the former pop tart. She reportedly feels as if she doesn’t have a drug or alcohol problem but that she suffers from post-partum depression

Spears responded to her father’s statements saying via her rep, "I’m praying for my father. We have never had a good relationship. It’s sad that all the men that have been in my life do not know how to accept a real woman’s love. I am concentrating on my work and my life right now." A pal of Rudolph’s said that it was obvious that Spears "Has a lot of issues" and that Rudolph doesn’t want to "see her wind up like Anna Nicole Smith." The source went on to say of Rudolph, "He won’t get into a public fight with her – yet. This is about saving her from herself."
