Britney Spears Unhappy Over Complaints About her Tour

Britney Spears is receiving some complaints about her show in Australia, but the tour’s promoter is saying it’s all hogwash.
Britney Spears is extremely upset about her most recent tour and, more to the point, complaints that her shows just don’t live up to their billing. It has been reported in Australian media outlets that fans have actually walked out of performances in that country, with some describing the show as "boring" and "stiff." Others noted that Britney does not interact enough with the audience. Paul Dainty, the tour promoter for Spears’ "Circus" tour noted, "Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it. She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting."

Apparently, Dainty is disputing media accounts of fans leaving the show despite ponying up between $200 and $1,500 to see the highly-publicized tour. While the tour represents a major step forward for Spears herself, it may not be enough for some fans. Spears comeback has famously included a divorce, losing custody of her two sons, shaving her head, receiving psychiatric treatments and an array of other embarrassing incidents.

Meanwhile, the Fair Trade Minister for New South Wales has noted that perhaps tickets to Spears’ show should come with a disclaimer regarding parts of the songs that would be lip-synched. Dainty, however, countered by saying that some lip-synching has been well publicized, and at no point was this concealed. According to Dainty, "It’s been all over the Internet for nine months. This show is about an incredible spectacle, which it is."
