Britney Spears Tired New Year’s

Sources claim that Spears, 25, was drinking heavily at the Las Vegas nightclub and counted down to midnight saying, "Happy f-ing New Year. What happens in Vegas always stays in Vegas!" A source said she then went up to the VIP balcony and was drinking Dom Perignon out of the bottle. Reports are that Spears was so drunk she had to be carried from the nightclub a little before 1 a.m.

Not so claims her spokesperson saying that the singer was "tired." The rep said "she traveled to Las Vegas on a tour bus with her children and was exhausted." Spears manager Larry Rudolph reportedly said, "By about one o’clock, she was just done, so we took her out. She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep." Rudolph insists that Spears walked out of the club on her own and that she did not require any medical attention. He said, "There is nothing out of the ordinary here." A Pure employee reportedly said, "She was absolutely not carried out of the club. Her security and Pure’s security walked her out…She didn’t pass our or faint or any of that."

Spears had a busy holiday season. It was reported that she spent Christmas at her home in Louisiana with her family. Then Spears and a few friends were off to Scottsdale, Arizona for a stay at a spa. They hit the Jackrabbit Supper Club on December 29 where Spears was seen chatting up NFL quarterback Matt Leinart. Leinart is an old beau of Spears old friend Paris Hilton. A source said of Spears and Leinart, "They were flirting. Paris is going to be pissed." Leinart’s sometime girlfriend Brynn Cameron gave birth to the couple’s first child in October. A source close to Cameron said, "Brynn’s not happy. But it was a one-time occurrence." Who knows what the future will bring...
