Britney Spears Seeking a Husband?

Britney Spears told Glamour Magazine recently that "In five years I would like to be married and have a father figure for my kids, someone who is a provider and can be really stable." She continued by noting that it is difficult raising children on your own. But in fairness to her babies' father, K-Fed, he seems to be the one that is having to do most of the parenting alone - at least until very recently. Britney went to great lengths to create a situation in which she has limited time with her kids and where she is the lone parent present during those visits.

In contrast, Federline seemed to step up when Britney was coming unglued and was able to provide a stable environment where the kids could at least experience some semblance of normalcy. Not that you'd necessarily want K-Fed as your daycare provider, but relative to Britney at that time, he would have been the obvious choice.

Britney is in the process of preparing for the world tour for her new album, Circus, so it's likely that she won't have too much time to be husband-hunting in the near future. And what would eligible bachelors be seeking in order for them to find a match with Britney? A reformed party girl with unlimited financial resources to share gossip headlines and questionable fashion choices?

At least it appears that Britney is really settling down and staying out of trouble. It's amazing how entering one's late twenties can have that effect on people.
