Britney Spears Runs Red Light

TMZ reportedly caught the whole incident on tape. It has been reported that Spears was avoiding the paparazzi when she ran the red light and turned left on Mulholland Drive and against oncoming traffic. In the video the paparazzi can reportedly be heard shouting, "Red light, red light!" The court-appointed monitor assigned to Spears for her visits with sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, is seen in the photo crouching in the front passenger seat while Spears covers her mouth with a cell phone. Meanwhile, the boys are asleep in their car seats in the back.

The latest incident took place shortly after Kevin Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan requested that Spears not be allowed to drive with the kids in the car. L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon is expected to rule on that issue on November 26. Spears driving record is not the best. She recently was hit with hit and run charges that were settled out of court, ran over a Los Angeles Sheriff Deputy’s foot, and parked in a handicapped spot.

Also during Thursday’s emergency hearing, Kaplan claimed that Spears missed eight out of fourteen random court-appointed drug tests. Spears camp argued that she submitted to (and passed) 10 drug tests. Federline’s camp held their ground claiming that the pop tart only submitted to six of the fourteen tests. Spears’ lawyer Anne Kiley argued that Spears’ life as a pop star kept her out late at night and that the early morning drug tests were not conducive to her pop star life. Kiley claims Spears is usually sleeping when the lab phones her to set up the tests. Whatever Spears daily or nightly life is like if she wants those kids to remain a part of her life she needs to step up to the plate and get her act together.
