Britney Spears Loses Manager

First her lawyer drops her, now her manager has confirmed that he is no longer representing pop tart Britney Spears.

On Monday Jeff Kwatinetz said, "It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears. We have represented Britney for the past month. We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record. But certain circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job. We wish Britney the best." The announcement came mere hours after Spears’ attorney Laura Wasser announced that she is no longer representing the pop star. Spears’ new attorney is Marci Levine.

Spears has been having a tough time lately; losing a manager and a lawyer at the same time. Her disastrous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9, and her ongoing custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline. Monday Gloria Allred announced that the "secret witness" in the Spears-Federline custody case is Spears’ former bodyguard, Tony Barretto. Barretto is reportedly ready to testify on the issue of "nudity, drug use, and safety issues involving [Spears’ children] post-rehab." He claims that the singer was using drugs even after she spent time in a rehab facility.

Spears and Federline currently have 50-50 custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Federline is currently seeking full physical custody (as well as heftier monthly child support checks). The couple married in 2005 and separated in November. Since then Spears' life has spun out of control. She was supposed to be making her big comeback at the VMA’s, but was ripped to shreds by critics and fans over her appearance and lackluster performance. Seems as if she is suffering one blow after another. Will she be able to turn it all around?
