Britney Spears & Kevin Federline: Just Friends

Recently it was reported that Spears, 25, and Federline were considering getting back together, but a source close to Federline says it isn’t so. The source reportedly said, "I talked to Kevin about Britney and he said he’s not getting back together with Britney. At least not right now. He just wants to be a friend for her. She has told him she would get back with him, but he’s trying to do the right thing for everyone right now, but he doesn’t want to go back there again."

It has also been reported that Spears has been "getting very close" to RIVA lead guitarist Jason Filyaw, 33, who is also in AA. The two have reportedly struck up a little romance and have become very friendly. They even allegedly have pet names for one another. He calls her "Kitten," "My Lady," and "Sugar," while she refers to him as "J-Sun," and "Mr. Secret Underground Guy." Filyaw has admitted that the two are friends and has even said that he loves her, but he will not admit to a romance or the fact that the two are supposedly dating.

Spears ended up in rehab after allegedly being issued an ultimatum from Federline – get help or I’ll take the kids. The couple has two kids – 18-month old Sean Preston and 6-month old Jayden James. Spears checked into rehab two times for less than 24-hours before finally agreeing to get some help. She checked into the Promises Treatment Facility on February 20 and has been there ever since. It seems as if she and Federline have developed a friendship during this difficult time and he has brought the kids to see her a number of times. Guess any type of reconciliation is out of the question…for now…who knows what the future holds.
