Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Pay Tribute to King of Pop
Performers and entertainers around the world are mourning the loss of Michael Jackson, a living legend and an inspiration to a new generation of superstars.
As the world mourns the sudden death of Michael Jackson, his fellow performers - young and old - have been remembering him and his accomplishments in entertainment.
Britney Spears said, "We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I'm devastated he's gone!"
"I can't find the words right now to express how deeply saddened I am by Michael's passing," said Justin Timberlake. "We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music but of all music.
Beyonce's statement read, "The incomparable Michael Jackson has made a bigger impact on music than any other artist in the history of music. He was magic. He was what we all strive to be. He will always be the King of Pop!"
Sheryl Crow has also spoken fondly of her time working as a back-up singer for Jackson during his Bad tour in the late 80s. She said that Jackson was a once-in-a-lifetime talent who was a pure entertainer. She worked for Jackson for two years and expressed gratitude for having the opportunity to watch him work for those years.
