Britney Spears Goes Bald

Spears showed up at a hair salon in the San Fernando Valley at around 7 p.m. shortly after it ha closed and asked the shop owner to shave her head. Salon Owner Esther Tognozzi said Spears showed up wearing a hoodie and said, "I want you to buzz my hair off." Tognozzi said when she refused, Spears grabbed the razor and said, "Then I'll do it." Spears reportedly teared up and said, "My mom is going to freak."

A salon employee said, "I don't know what's going on in her head, but she obviously is not very happy deep down, but she thought it would make her happy to have her head shaved. She didn't say if she liked it or not, but she thought it would make her happy to do it so she did." Spears then headed over to a tattoo shop in Sherman Oaks where she got a black-white-and-pink cross tattooed on her lower hip and red and pink lips on her wrist. An employee said Spears "wasn't making any sense at all" and that "she's not in a good place at all." The source went on to say that Spears is "totally freaking out" and added, "After she left the shop we all just looked around and said to each other, 'We just saw a huge celebrity on the verge of a nervous breakdown.'"

Before shaving her head and adding to tattoos to her collection, Spears reportedly spent one night in a rehabilitation facility. Spears reportedly checked into Eric Clapton's Crossroads facility in Antigua earlier this month. Spears reportedly checked herself out of the facility less than 24-hours later. According to Spears' former assistant, Felicia Culotta, her close friends and family are worried about her. Culotta posted a letter on a Britney fan site to her fans stating that her family and friends are "doing everything in our power to get help for Britney." Maybe shaving her head is a way of crying out and she will realize that she needs some help…a lot more than a night in rehab!
